Blessed with
a breathtaking natural setting, Crowsnest Vineyards is settled in
the Similkameen Valley on the Upper Bench. The Winery is named after
Highway 3, the Crowsnest Highway, sometimes called the Crowsnest Route
or the Route of the Crow. Highway 3 is a memorial to a young engineer
who came to Canada in 1859.
You will be welcomed by Olaf, Sabine, Ann and Sascha Heinecke, the
Heinecke family purchased the winery in October 1998. All members
of the family have worked hard in recreating the winery with a new
dining lounge, a patio with a unique view of the our beautiful valley,
and a redesigned Wine and Giftshop.
We will greet you in the winestore and help you with the tastings
and selection of the wine you need. Gary Strachan is the winemaster
with 20 years of experience. His knowledge in the wine industry gives
you the chance to taste quality in the making.
Enjoy a leisurely tour of the vineyard and winery, Olaf, the owner,
and Ann, the wine assistant, will answer all your questions about
the vineyard. They will tell you all about their favourite grapes
and explain how they are crushed, fermented, aged, bottled, and corked.
As well, you can partake in wine tasting with Sabine and the staff,
and they will help you select the right wines. Join us for great food
and great wines, which will enhance your meal perfectly.
